Overview
As a key member of Siemens Energy’s Digital Products and Solutions (DPS) team, you will lead and coach software engineering teams that build digital products used across Siemens Energy business areas. You will own technical leadership and governance, ensuring solutions follow organizational standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices. You will drive architecture decisions that align with the strategic IT roadmap and business objectives. In close collaboration with product, business, and delivery stakeholders, you will translate needs into scalable solution designs, assess emerging technologies, maintain architecture documentation, and ensure delivery meets scope, timeline, quality, and budget expectations. By advancing standardization, automation, and engineering excellence, you will help deliver high‑quality digital solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Delivery Leadership: Guide technical teams and collaborate with project managers to deliver outcomes within scope, timeline, budget, and quality targets.
Strategic Technology Roadmap: Build and maintain a technology roadmap that supports business goals and enables long‑term platform sustainability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product, business, security, and delivery stakeholders to understand needs and ensure the target architecture meets them.
Technology Assessment: Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices; recommend adoption when they improve cost, quality, security, or delivery speed.
Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain architecture documentation (principles, standards, reference architectures, and guidelines) to enable consistent delivery.
Risk Management: Identify architecture and delivery risks (technical debt, scalability, security, vendor lock‑in) and define mitigation plans.
