pbCompany Description: /b /ppbr/ppAistech Space is focused on generating affordable, recurrent, high resolution thermal imagery of the planet to provide a new perspective of Earth’s changing resources. The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management. /ppbr/ppbWhat you will do: /b /ppbr/ppAistech Space is looking for a RF Hardware Engineer to be part of the Space Infrastructure Team in charge of designing, analysing, integrating and testing high-sensitivity receiver chains (Antenna to ADC) used for different applications. /ppbr/ppIn this role, you are expected to deal with the different Aistech departments, suppliers, clients, RD proposals, bureaucratic paperwork, launch plans and a long list of activities to push the company forward. /ppbr/ppThe main responsibility for this job position is contributing technically a heterogeneous team of engineers/scientists/sw developers to deliver the next payloads into orbit and ensure the performance of the RF payloads. /ppbr/ppYou will also be responsible to follow internal standards and good practices in terms of project management, documentation and time management following an agile approach in your daily work and ensuring the team is also doing it. /ppbr/ppThe daily tasks to be achieved in this position are: /ppbr/pulliUnderstand Aistech Space’s mission objectives. /liliSupport RF Subsystem Design by Assisting in the design of receiver front-ends, including LNAs, filters, mixers, and frequency conversion stages. /liliMaintain and update link budgets to ensure the payload can detect weak signals (signals of opportunity) across various orbital altitudes and slant ranges. /liliPerform circuit-level simulations (ADS/AWR) and basic EM simulations (HFSS/CST) to de-risk RF board designs. /liliPerform hands-on bring-up and testing of RF prototypes using Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, and Signal Generators. /liliWork with Software Defined Radios (SDRs) to validate the \"antenna-to-bits\" signal chain and characterize hardware impairments (IQ imbalance, DC offset). /liliBe able of writing your own code when needed, follow internal standards, make it testable and document it properly. /liliBe part of the negotiation team, working closely with our partners and suppliers, understanding their proposal and adjusting it to our objectives. /liliKeep the best communication between internal teams: ground, user and operations infrastructure teams aligned with business development. /liliRecommend the adoption of new technologies, products, and services. /liliWrite articles regarding different areas of interest to be published in our Aistech News magazine and on our website blog. /liliActively engage in the development of documentation to build out the company procedures and specification manuals. /li /ulpbr/ppbWho you are: /b /ppbr/ppbMust: /b /pulliBSc/MSc in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications or relevant degree. /lili2–5 years in RF/Microwave engineering. /liliOpen minded and extrovert, active learner and tolerant to criticism. /liliAbility to analyze and select RF components (LNAs, filters, mixers, oscillators) based on application needs, performing technical trade-off studies and bench-top validation against mission requirements. /liliAbility to use RF simulation tools (ADS, Microwave Office, or HFSS) and PCB design tools. /liliComfortable using a VNA to measure S-parameters and a Spectrum Analyzer to find spurs/noise floors /liliAbility to calculate FSPL, Noise Figure, and SNR requirements for a basic communications or radar link. /liliProficiency in Python for data analysis and test automation. /liliWorking knowledge of Agile methodologies. /liliFluent in English. /li /ulpbr/ppbNice to have: /b /pulliExperience in any related projects with RF Payloads (VHF, UHF, S-Band, X-Band, Ku Band). /liliUnderstanding of high-stability oscillators (TCXO/OCXO).. /liliFamiliarity with Basic DSP concepts (TDOA, FDOA, or AoA).. /liliExperience with SDRs (Ettus USRP, …) and GNU Radio. /li /ulpbr/ppbWhere you will be: /b /ppbr/ppYou will be working on-site in the headquarters offices of Sant Cugat in Barcelona. /ppbr/ppbWhat You’ll Gain by Joining Us /p /b
