Experteer Overview
In this role you will support the Branch Manager by directing the Laboratory department to deliver fast, accurate service while controlling costs, safety, quality, and asset maintenance. You will collaborate with management to meet client needs and ensure financial viability, compliance with HSE and company policies. You will oversee testing operations, quality assurance to ISO17025/9001, and relationships with clients, both locally and internationally. This position offers exposure to cross-location coordination in a global services company committed to safety and integrity.

• Oversee laboratory operations to ensure fast, efficient, and accurate client service
• Maintain financial viability by controlling costs and ensuring safety, quality, and asset upkeep
• Coordinate with Branch Manager, General Manager, and other managers on all assignments
• Adhere to company procedures (HSE, accounting, IT, ethics, compliance) and stay updated on changes
• Provide routine and extraordinary operational support (equipment, tenders, costing)
• Ensure client nominations are acknowledged, confirmed, and invoiced with fees, and provide technical guidance as needed
• Draft and update test methods; manage changes and supplier/subcontractor alignment
• Keep clients informed through the entire analysis process and validate results when necessary
• Update invoicing instructions and customer databases (GCAS, Navarik) in company systems (Connect)
• Ensure safety compliance with local regulations and internal safety policies; coordinate with Safety Officer
• Organize and coordinate the laboratory department to meet client and company needs
• Assist local accounts with financial reporting and monthly flash reports
• Coordinate training for staff and maintain training records; conduct performance appraisals
• Collaborate with IT to ensure data protection and proper use of electronic media; ensure backups
• Maintain environmental compliance for sample handling, storage, and destruction; recordkeeping
• Maintain SharePoint with location communications and monitor Saybolt global updates
• Maintain positive client relations and support visits with Branch Manager
• Handle complaints and implement corrective actions; monitor closure and resume operations
• Coordinate equipment purchases and setup; provide technical expertise for equipment issues
• Organize regular staff and management meetings; provide training for local and international clients
• Travel between Spain locations and internationally as needed
• Handle confidential information and comply with all company policies
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor-level or Chemical Engineering degree or 2+ years in a similar management role
• Proficient in MS Office
• 2+ years leadership experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the industry
• Familiar with basic financial and customer service principles
• Fluent in local language and English
