IT Chapter Lead – InsuranceAt ING we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic IT Chapter Lead to join our IT Management Team of Insurance. The Core responsibilities include managing the IT Team and ensuring the IT strategy is aligned with business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesPositively contribute to the alignment and coordination with Business and Tech strategy execution.Coordinate the execution of priority Business and Technical initiatives, guaranteeing Business delivery and Tech standards compliance.Lead and coach a squad of 7–10 Software Engineers.Drive craftmanship and technical excellence within the tribe.Co‑create the “HOW” of initiatives, defining planning, IT Team organization, and challenge architectural designs.Provide solutions to improve services reliability, scalability, and performance.Stay informed about the best technologies that can enhance our systems.Collaborate closely with chapter leads within and outside the tribe.Identify synergy opportunities with other tribes.Collaborate with finance and external providers.Ensure visibility of the team’s activities and maintain smooth communication with all stakeholders.Ensure a positive team experience and understand each IT member’s concerns and needs.Foster the professional development of each Software Engineer.Manage end‑to‑end product development, ensuring seamless integration and delivery:Execute CIO strategy.Ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.Ensure a safe, open, experimental, continuous learning, collaborative culture.Be responsible for the transformation agenda applicable to the product assets.Maintain alignment with group standards.Ensure required service levels in all environments for the assets under scope.QualificationsEngineering degree with at least 8 years of experience.Passion for IT.Strong analytical skills.At least 3 years of people management experience.Excellent communication skills.Ability to deliver results in a fast‑changing environment.Ability to work autonomously.Proactive leadership attitude.Experience in project management.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and at least 3 years of Scrum experience.Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing software engineering teams.Knowledge of engineering practices, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing.Solid understanding of software architecture, front‑end and back‑end technologies, and distributed systems.BenefitsFlexible work model – determine days working from home or in the ING MAD office.Restaurant card for meals.Health insurance for you and your family.Life insurance.Flexible remuneration model with tax‑advantaged services (nursery, transport card, training aids).Free company shuttle to ING Madrid office (six routes).Banking benefits: special loans, mortgage conditions after 6 months, pension plan after 1 month.360º employee care: physiotherapy, medical services, mental health support.Gympass service and on‑site facilities.Employee networks: Rainbow Lions (LGBTQI+), Leonas & RIÑG.International remote work program.
