The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Year 1 Primary Teacher to join our fantastic team. We are recruiting an outstanding Year 1 Teacher (maternity cover) to join our Primary team at the BSB City Campus. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who will work collaboratively within our Year 1 team and demonstrate a strong understanding of effective phonics teaching. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, systematic phonics sessions, use assessment to support early reading development, and ensure all pupils make strong progress. You will: • Deliver the Year 1 Primary curriculum, modeling outstanding practice, in an innovative and inspirational way. • Have high expectations of all students and to track progress, using formative assessment tools, based on relevant data, observations through a wide range of opportunities. • Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective phonics teaching. Over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities attend the school and over 315 staff work at BSB. We are based in three locations, two just outside the city of Barcelona – in Castelldefels, where we have a Primary, Secondary and Pre-University campus, and in the cosmopolitan town of Sitges, where we have another Primary campus. BSB City is in the heart of Barcelona City itself with a Foundation campus (built September 2021), and a brand-new main campus which opened in September 2023.
