Job Description
Join our professional team as a Waiter/Waitress in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain! We're seeking friendly and customer-focused individuals to provide exceptional dining experiences to our guests in our upscale restaurant.
Greet and seat guests with a warm, welcoming demeanor
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
Serve meals and drinks in a timely and professional manner
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant
Contribute to a positive team environment
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and local specialties
Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies and procedures
Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Strong communication abilities in both Spanish and English
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Keen attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and bill calculations
Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
Familiarity with wine and cocktail basics
Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) or willingness to obtain
Knowledge of local cuisine and dining customs in Sotogrande and the surrounding region
Ability to maintain composure and provide excellent service in a high-pressure environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
