Vice President of Cloud and IT Solutions Job Overview Marlink Group is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Cloud and IT Solutions to lead the strategy, development, and management of our Cloud and IT product portfolio. This senior leadership role will be instrumental in driving the innovation and growth of Marlink’s Cloud and IT solutions, enhancing our position as a leader in the maritime and enterprise managed digital services. The successful candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, with a proven track record in cloud and IT product management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can seamlessly blend technology expertise with business acumen to deliver high-value solutions across the Marlink Group. The VP of Cloud and IT Solutions will be responsible for both existing products and the development of new offerings, ensuring they meet market demands and drive revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Lead and develop the Cloud and IT Solutions practice, defining and executing a strategic roadmap that aligns with Marlink’s overall business and strategic objectives. Identify market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements to shape the future direction of Marlink’s Cloud and IT product offerings. Drive innovation within the team, fostering a culture of creativity and forward-thinking to maintain a competitive edge in the market. Position Cloud & IT as a core pillar of Marlink’s integrated one-stop-shop offer alongside Connectivity, Network, Platform, Cyber and OT/IoT. Product Management Oversee the entire lifecycle of Cloud and IT products, from ideation and development to market launch and post-launch management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, BU (Business Unit) product managers and customer support, to ensure product success. Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Work together with Business Unit product management for go-to-market strategies, working closely with sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth. Business Development Carry full P&L accountability for the Cloud & IT domain: revenue growth, margin, pricing and investment cases, with targets set and held with the Business Units. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the Cloud and IT space, including potential partnerships, acquisitions and other growth strategies. Lead the team of expert sales and solution architects to support the BU sales and pre‑sales teams. Develop business cases and financial models to support investment in new products and technologies. Work with the BU sales and product management teams to identify key customer segments and develop tailored solutions that meet their specific needs. Build and lead a high‑performing team of product managers/heads of product, sales experts, and solution architects. Responsible for developing and managing a lean Cloud & IT practice that spans across build, test and learn processes. Coordinate the Business Unit product managers on a dotted‑line basis, so the domain roadmap is executed consistently across the markets while they remain anchored in their Business Units. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Foster cross‑functional communication and collaboration across all stakeholder departments. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure the team’s success. Customer and Market Focus Engage with key customers to understand their needs and pain points, translating these insights into actionable product requirements. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to continuously improve Marlink’s Cloud and IT offerings. Work closely with BUs to gain market specific knowledge and input. Qualifications & Experience Education, Certifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in cloud and IT product management, with a strong track record of bringing successful products to market. Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the technology or managed service provider industries. Deep understanding of cloud technologies, IT infrastructure, and the competitive landscape. Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
