About The Role
As a Test Facility Intern at Pangea’s in‑house test facility, you will prepare, execute, and maintain hot‑fire test operations. You will work side‑by‑side with propulsion engineers, technicians, and the test team to ensure flawless execution, clean data capture, and safe system maintenance. Your work will validate the performance of Pangea’s propulsion systems before they head to space.
Responsibilities
Set up and configure test stands, fluid systems, instrumentation, and safety systems for rocket engine testing.
Perform pre‑test check‑outs of propulsion systems and test infrastructure.
Maintain the cleanliness, order, and functional readiness of the entire test facility.
Participate in safety reviews and pre‑test briefings.
Perform routine installation, preparation, maintenance, calibration, and inspection of all test equipment (valves, pressure vessels, sensors, actuators, DAQ systems, etc.).
Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, load cells).
Support DAQ system operation and basic data collection workflows.
Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge.
Comfortable working around hazardous systems and in safety‑critical environments.
Team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive, can‑do mindset.
Basic understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and testing protocols.
Written and spoken English is a plus.
