Join our Rolling Stock HUB in Madrid as a System Engineer (m/f/d) – Brake Systems for Rail Vehicles As a System Engineer for Brake Systems, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of braking systems—from initial concept to warranty phase—making a direct impact on passenger safety and operational excellence. Take full engineering responsibility for brake systems, acting as the technical point of contact for project management, purchasing, customers, and other engineering units (installation, vehicle control). Analyze customer and regulatory requirements to develop project‑specific brake concepts for the subsystem “brake and air supply.”Implement solutions in collaboration with suppliers and internal engineering teams. Define test specifications, evaluate results, and prepare approval documentation. Oversee technical quality gates for engineering and suppliers throughout the development process. Master’s or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics. Strong knowledge of braking system architecture and functionality, including IBS basics, quality assurance, and product safety. Excellent English skills for international collaboration (additional languages are a plus).
