Experteer Overview
As a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, you drive ride quality across Tesla’s vehicle lineup by owning passive and adaptive damper development and tuning. You collaborate with design, controls, modeling, and supplier teams to deliver integrated ride, handling, and steering targets. You perform virtual tests and drive assessments to translate data into ride improvements that align with Tesla’s vehicle character. This role offers impact at scale, enabling refined chassis dynamics and superior passenger comfort within a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

• Tune chassis components and active systems to meet ride targets
• Lead damper tuning activities and supplier collaboration to hit program timelines
• Guide design, controls, and modeling teams to align components with attribute requirements
• Define and perform virtual tests with modeling teams to deliver ride attributes
• Collaborate with ride, steering, NVH, body, and tires owners to deliver integrated attributes
• Perform drive assessments and generate metrics and qualitative descriptions to inform changes
• Support development of suspension, tires, and dynamics controls
• Generate engineering data (logs and reports) for activities
• Manage and execute testing programs with effective communication in a dynamic environment
Responsabilidades
• 3+ years of automotive vehicle dynamics engineering experience
• Familiarity with shock absorber tuning methods and best practices
• Experience in subjective evaluation of ride, handling, and steering
• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics or related
