About the rol e We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead / Lead Engine er to provide technical leadership and strategic direction fo r AI and Machine Learning solutio n s.This is a critical, enterprise-level role focused on designing and scaling reusable AI products that deliver measurable business value across complex, multi-tenant environments and multiple operating companie s. Main Responsabilit iesLead t he technical architecture and technology strat egy for AI/ML solutions, balancing cost, risk, time-to-value and long-term scalabili ty.Provide strong architectural input into the design of reusable, enterprise-grade AI produ cts that can be adopted across multiple business units within the IMS doma in.Identify, articulate and mitiga te technical ri sks using a structured, data-driven approa ch.Define and evol ve technical bluepri nts that support early discovery, accelerated value delivery, and progression to fully industrialised AI produc ts.Simplify the complexity of multi-tenant environme nts by building reusable AI products that operate seamlessly across multiple operating compani es.Act as a hands-on technical author ity, guiding multiple squads to deliver consistent, robust and well-architected solutio ns.Define and enfor ce technical governa nce, including architectural decision-making processes (e.g. Key Design Decisions), ensuring auditability and alignment with enterprise standards, guardrails and design patter ns.Set the technical direction f or AI and ML platfo rms, including lightweight generative AI abstraction layers, routes to production and runtime ML platfor ms.Continuously assess t he external AI and generative model landsc ape, modelling cost, benefits and implementation trade-of fs.Work closely with engineering leaders and squad tech leads across distributed locations (Barcelona and London) to build an aligned, pragmatic and high-performing engineering communi ty.Treat internal teams as customers, continuously reducing the effort required to discover, adopt and scale AI-powered produc ts. Technical sk ills15+ years of experi ence in enterprise software engineering within complex environme nts.Proven ability to prov ide deep, hands-on technical leader ship across multiple squ ads.Strong experience deliver ing AI and ML platforms, tools or prod u cts.Solid understanding of mod ern ML engineering, MLOps, CI/CD pipel ines and routes to production, including third-party platfo rms.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior, time-poor stakehold ers.Strategic, analytical mindset with the ability to translate business problems into technical soluti ons.Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal ski lls.Enthusiastic, forward-looking and pragmatic appro ach.Willingness to be on-site in Barce lona and travel to Lo ndon when requi red.Experience in the airline or aviation indu stry is a p lus.
