The company closed $185M in Series C in 2022.About the jobAs a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to build user‑centered web applications that improve employee retention and the experience of frontline workers.What you’ll be doing- Design, develop, test and maintain product features and enhancements.- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to bring features to life.- Review and collaborate on other developers’ work.- Implement RESTful API endpoints and build new functionality in our backend codebase (Ruby on Rails or Express/Node.js) and model changes in PostgreSQL or MongoDB.- Ensure product quality, reliability, operations and security.- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise applications for speed, scalability and ease of use.- Stay up to date with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to enhance the user experience.What you should bring- 7+ years of experience in full‑stack software engineering.- Proven product‑oriented development experience.- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL (must have) and optional MongoDB, Express, TailwindCSS.- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically about user interactions and system architecture.- Ability to work independently, confidently, in dynamic situations with limited information.- Excellent communication skills, in English, written and verbal.Nice to have- Experience in B2B SaaS startup environments and remote international settings.- Familiarity with coding agents, automated code reviews, event‑driven architectures, serverless, high‑volume, micro‑services, web security, AWS and Agile.- Experience in Agile development and cross‑functional team collaboration.- Prior startup or international context experience.Benefits- Full‑time employment.- Competitive health insurance plan.- Christmas bonus.- Flexible time off.- Fountain‑wide perks, paid holidays, annual allowances for ongoing education, home office, cell phone and wellness reimbursements.Equal OpportunityFountain is proud to be an equal‑opportunity workplace. xcskxlj We welcome applicants of any educational background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, disability, and veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
