Scopely is looking for a Senior Ads QA to join our Global Advertising team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day — whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our player communities. We are a global team of game lovers developing, publishing, and live‑operating mobile games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.
The Advertising team oversees Ads operations, strategy, and product offerings across Scopely’s portfolio. The team collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, Analytics, and Game teams to ensure that Ads features are implemented correctly, thoroughly tested, and safely released into live environments.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in Ads QA, gain hands‑on experience with Ads technologies and workflows, and grow progressively toward higher responsibility and ownership within the Ads QA function.
What You’ll Do:
Execute Ads QA tasks for assigned game titles, supporting Ads‑related testing, configuration changes, and releases under guidance from more senior team members.
Perform Ads testing activities, including:
Ad placements and formats
SDK updates and integrations
Configuration and mediation changes
Sanity checks, regression testing, and basic full sweeps
Review and analyse application logs using tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, and Charles to help identify Ads‑related issues, validate integrations, and support QA investigations.
Validate Ads setups by following established QA and checklists, escalating issues or inconsistencies when identified.
Assist in preparing tests by:
Creating or executing TestRail test cases and plans
Validating builds, users, segments, and permissions
Ensuring prerequisites are met before test execution
Document Ads setups, test results, and findings clearly, keeping TestRail and Confluence content accurate and up to date.
Collaborate with Ads QA peers, Ads SDK, Ads RevOps, and Game teams through regular communication and ticket‑based workflows.
Manage assigned QA work through Jira, following prioritisation guidance and learning how to adapt to changing needs.
Actively learn Ads QA best practices, tools, and monetisation concepts, building confidence and autonomy over time, and progressively contributing ideas to improve Ads QA processes and testing quality.
Uphold Scopely quality standards and tenets by maintaining attention to detail and a strong quality mindset.
What We’re Looking For:
2–4 years of experience in QA, Ads Operations, or a related role within mobile gaming, ad tech, or app monetisation.
Basic to intermediate understanding of Ads monetisation concepts (ad formats, mediation, SDK behaviour) or strong motivation to learn.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience executing QA test cases and following structured testing processes.
Ability to identify issues, document them clearly, and escalate appropriately.
Good organisational skills and comfort working with Jira, TestRail, and documentation tools.
Clear communicator, able to ask questions, share updates, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
Willingness to receive feedback, learn from more senior peers, and grow responsibility over time.
Passion for mobile games, curiosity about Ads technology, and a desire to develop expertise in Ads QA.
Nice to Have:
Exposure to Ads SDKs, mediation platforms (e.g. MAX, LevelPlay), or Ads LiveOps environments.
Experience supporting Ads experiments or configuration‑based changes.
Familiarity with mobile testing across different devices and OS versions.
Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
