About the Role
As a senior PSA engineer you will support Probabilistic Safety Assessments for complex nuclear power plant systems. This is a full‑time job. You will report to the Senior Manager and be located at our HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes. This is a hybrid position.
Main Responsibilities
Perform engineering evaluations related to risk, including modeling of internal and external events, different hazard types, and low power and shutdown modes of operation. Evaluations may support both domestic and international operating plants, and new reactors still in the design phase.
Use models to provide nuclear power plant operators with the necessary insight to make operational, financial, and regulatory decisions.
Work with global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution in multiple roles (author, mentor, verifier), and meeting schedule and financial goals.
Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies.
Mentor junior engineers on PSA fundamentals.
Travel up to 10% availability to international customers including Europe, North America, and Asia.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in nuclear industry or PSA specific work.
Knowledge of PRA/PSA tools (Risk Spectrum, CAFTA) and NUREG/CR-6850.
Technical interest, predisposition, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required.
Fluent in English with report writing skills.
