A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into a key role on our Electrical Engineering team, supporting Wind Power Onshore projects across North America. Each day, you’ll provide expert‑level support for our wind turbine fleet, focusing on Power Converters and grid‑related challenges. Your work will help keep our turbines running efficiently and optimally, while always upholding the highest standards in health, safety, quality, and compliance. You’ll collaborate with teams across Operations, Project Management, Sales, Supply Chain, and more, making a real impact on our customers and the future of renewable energy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Deliver specialized second‑level support and solutions for electrical systems and components, with a focus on power converters (Direct Drive, Full Converter, DFIG) and grid‑related topics such as grid compliance and grid issues.
Provide experienced assistance for a wide range of electrical components, including power units, generators, transformers, motors, cables, electrical cabinets, controllers, grounding, lightning protection, switchgears, protection relays, and instrumentation.
Analyze data, investigate electrical issues, and perform root cause analysis to drive effective problem resolution and continuous improvement.
Create clear and thorough engineering documentation, including internal and external reports, critical issue reports, and regional work instructions; support HSE and Operations in developing risk assessments as needed.
Engage in technical discussions with customers, offering knowledgeable and professional support to address their needs.
Collaborate closely with regional and global engineering teams to deliver timely, cost‑effective solutions that support business objectives and partners success.
What You Bring
Experience working with power converters in maintenance or design engineering roles; wind industry experience is highly valued.
Solid base in electrical engineering, with the ability to analyze and solve grid‑related challenges affecting wind turbine performance and grid compliance.
Analytical with a proactive approach, positive attitude, and a strong commitment to achieving results as part of a team.
Comfortable collaborating in multicultural and international teams, embracing diverse perspectives.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
Willing and able to travel up to 10% for business needs.
