Job Description: Revenue Audit Assistant
Your Mission: Financial Precision & Revenue Audit Integrity
Your primary goal involves driving back‑office operational success. To achieve this, you will deliver exceptional audit and control support. At the same time, you will keep all financial logs beautifully aligned with strict resort presentation standards. Therefore, you will review daily revenue streams and audit Opera PMS or POS transactions. Additionally, you will reconcile payment channels and collaborate with operational teams to correct discrepancies promptly. As a result, you will eliminate audit bottlenecks during monthly financial closures and protect our resort’s reputation for luxury excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Audit & Control: Review and audit daily income generated across all resort departments. Specifically, verify that charges, discounts, cancellations, and house comps are properly authorized and logged.
System Transaction Verification: Audit transactions recorded inside Opera PMS and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems. Furthermore, enforce strict adherence to internal financial control policies.
Reconciliations & Discrepancy Tracking: Reconcile payments completed via cash, credit cards, and digital gateways. Identify transaction differences and follow up with operational managers to resolve issues.
Financial Reporting & Month‑End Support: Prepare and distribute daily or monthly revenue reports. Assist the finance department during monthly accounting closures with precise data files.
Documentation Management: Maintain structured archive records for all audited transactions and supply supporting files required during internal or external financial reviews.
Cross‑Departmental Synergy: Coordinate directly with front desk, restaurant, and accounting teams. Streamline information flow and support continuous audit improvements.
Who You Are: The Analytical & Detail‑Oriented Controller
Proven Foundations: You bring verified experience in hotel front desk operations, night audit, or revenue auditing. Ideally, you gained this background within luxury hotels or resorts.
Educational Background: You possess formal education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Hotel Management. Complementary training in auditing is highly valued.
The Linguist: You display a mid‑to‑high professional command of both Spanish and English. Knowledge of other international languages is considered a helpful asset.
Technical Proficiency: You are experienced in operating Opera PMS software and advanced Microsoft Excel tools. Familiarity with Micros Simphony or other POS systems is a distinct plus.
Key Competencies: You demonstrate strong analytical skills, high accuracy, personal accountability, discretion, and a collaborative spirit when working across departments.
