Job DescriptionA vacancy for a Buyer has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid). A very exciting opportunity has arisen at Procurement Aerostructures as Buyer within the PSA team dedicated to Fuselage and Empennage commodity. In close alignment with the MFT Leader, the Buyer is responsible for RUAG WP commercial management and will be accountable for contract management, delivering the best purchasing conditions for Airbus, developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, delivering Value Creation projects, leading Work Package teams, and ensuring the Procurement Plan is executed within the scope of responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for contract management for the products and/or suppliers under the Buyer’s responsibility.Accountable for providing the best purchasing conditions for Airbus for the products and/or suppliers.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with supplier(s) under responsibility.Accountable for delivering the Value Creation projects within scope of activity.Lead Work Package teams for the products and/or suppliers and ensure consistency with the Multi Functional Team.Accountable for delivering the Procurement Plan within scope of responsibilities.TasksConduct the Buyer activities and secure support to the Multi Functional Team Leader for the "Supplier Selection and Contracting", "Supplier Monitoring" and "Contract Management" processes:Implement contract / business relationship.Monitor / manage contract execution and contractual coverage of evolution requests.Amend contract.Anticipate and mitigate contractual risks.Manage contract expiry.Evaluate, prepare and send request for purchasing.Terminate contract.Conduct the Buyer activities of "Supply External Products and Services" process.Conduct or contribute to all projects impacting the contractual terms and conditions for the products and/or suppliers under responsibility, e.g., Value Creation projects, Transfer of Work projects, claims or liabilities management.Contribute to budget elaboration within scope of activity.Organize and conduct the Work Package Team (WPT) review meeting with the support of the WPT.Skills and ExperienceMandatory experience in Procurement: 5 to 10 years.Proven successful teamwork in an intercultural environment.Efficient project management.Effective negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness.Financial key indicators knowledge.Experience in delivering cost reduction initiatives.Ability to drive improvement & innovation to deliver concrete results.In-depth know‑how of the Aerostructure market and supplier strategies of the perimeter.Proven communication skills, especially with suppliers’ representatives and internal stakeholders.Effective management of customer expectations and stakeholders.Negotiation level in English.BenefitsVacation days plus additional days‑off throughout the year.Attractive salary.Collective transport service in some sites.On‑site facilities (free canteen, kindergarten, medical office).Possibility to collaborate in different social and corporate social responsibility initiatives.Excellent upskilling opportunities and great development prospects in a multicultural environment.Airbus is committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment.
