R&D Packaging Developer (BTF&BTM&NS)Location: Murcia, Spain – Hybrid.Role OverviewYou will play a central role in delivering packaging solutions that enable innovation, renovation, and operational excellence for the BTF, BTM, and NS categories.Key ResponsibilitiesLead packaging development across all formats, ensuring compliance with legislation, sustainability goals, and supply chain requirements.Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, including display materials, and support industrialization by collaborating with third‑party manufacturers, attending factory trials and launches.Test and evaluate alternative materials to identify sustainability and cost‑saving opportunities.Identify new trends through exhibitions and supplier visits, feeding inspiration into innovative workshops.Ensure all packaging for innovation and renovation projects is delivered on time and aligned with strategy; propose and manage the yearly packaging budget (testing, certifications, trials).Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality; specify packaging materials, support new supplier qualification, and maintain packaging data in SAP.Build strong working relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders, including packaging suppliers and third‑party manufacturers.QualificationsBachelor’s or College Degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Packaging Technology.Professional experience in packaging development (plastics, paper, corrugated) and strong project‑management skills.Minimum B2 level in Spanish and English.Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.Solid analytical, planning, and problem‑solving capabilities; results‑driven team player with a continuous improvement mindset and strong communication skills.Preferred Qualifications6+ years of practical experience in food packaging and production technologies.General experience in the food industry.Knowledge of SAPS/4Hana and Power Apps.BenefitsHybrid work model with versatile schedule (early finish on Fridays and during summer months).Attractive compensation and benefits package.Continuous learning and development opportunities in a multinational environment.Collaborative, challenging workplace with an emphasis on open communication and well‑being.
