RF Subsystems Engineer – Satellite Communications & Space Technology - Advanced Nanosatellite Missions - SpainWe’re looking for an experienced RF Subsystems Engineer to design, develop and validate communication subsystems for advanced nanosatellite missions.This is a hands-on role spanning the full RF lifecycle — from link budgets and architecture definition to hardware integration, HIL testing and over-the-air validation.What you’ll work onDefine end-to-end RF subsystem architecturesPerform link budget analysis, RF chain modelling and performance optimisationDesign and integrate RF front-end solutions across UHF/VHF, S-band and X-bandDefine subsystem requirements and interfaces with systems and payload teamsSupport integration, verification and validation, including HIL and over-the-air testingEvaluate RF components, technologies and suppliersExplore onboard signal processing and data reduction for RF payloadsAssess advanced RF sensing concepts, including signal detection, classification and geolocationWhat we’re looking for5+ years of RF engineering experience, ideally within satellite, space or aerospace applicationsMSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, Telecommunications or a related fieldHands-on experience with UHF, S-band and/or X-band systemsExperience with tools such as CST, ADS, HFSS or similarPractical knowledge of spectrum analysers, VNAs and RF test equipmentFamiliarity with modulation schemes such as GMSK, QPSK, 8PSK and DVB-S2Knowledge of communication protocols such as CSP and CCSDSRF payload, DSP, signal analysis or sensing experience is a strong advantageExperience with ECSS standards and space-grade RF qualification is a plusIf you are interested send your CV
