Experteer Overview
In this role you drive the quality and feel of Hole.io as part of Voodoo's Live Studios. You own core gameplay systems, prototype new features, and oversee iteration to deliver a hit that scales to millions of players. You work hands-on with Unity, collaborating across engineering, design, and analytics to refine mechanics, balance accessibility and depth, and ensure a standout player experience. This fully remote role offers CET-hour flexibility or Barcelona-based work, with a mission to entertain the world through engaging, high-quality mobile games.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Own quality bar for core mechanics, moment-to-moment interaction, and overall game feel
• Design, prototype, and refine gameplay features expanding the Hole.io loop
• Iterate features and parameters to achieve final quality feel (e.g., friction, bounce, suction, camera and movement curves)
• Partner with engineers to implement and iterate Unity-based gameplay systems for mobile
• Collaborate with level designers to ensure integration with open 3D environments
• Identify opportunities to boost engagement, retention, and session satisfaction
• Lead rapid prototyping and iteration cycles with playtests, AB tests, and data analysis
• Define best practices and design guidelines for gameplay systems
• Work with product and analytics to translate data into gameplay improvements
• Champion simplicity, clarity, and delight in every interaction
Responsabilidades
• 7 years of experience in gameplay design with a track record in F2P mobile games
• Experience owning core gameplay systems from concept through launch and live ops
• Deep understanding of game feel, control responsiveness, and interaction design
• Strong intuition for simple mechanics with high player satisfaction
• Experience designing physics-driven systems, player movement, and environmental gameplay
• Ability to balance accessibility for casual players with meaningful depth
• Hands-on Unity experience with knowledge of its physics systems and collisions
• Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision making
• English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with accountability and ownership
