Primary And/ Or Secondary Teacher (Spanish And Catalan) Join Raoul Wallenberg International School as a Primary and/or Secondary Teacher specializing in Spanish and Catalan. This role is available for part‑time or full‑time teaching and may be combined with other subjects or responsibilities. Location: Palma, Mallorca, Spain Reporting to: Head of School; Head of Secondary / Head of Primary Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, professional development support, group health insurance, free lunch, tuition for children, and a relocation allowance for international hires. Visa Requirements: Candidates must be EU/EEA/Swiss citizens or hold a work visa. The school cannot provide permits. Opportunity Raoul Wallenberg International School (RWIS) seeks a dynamic, flexible teacher for the academic year. The teacher will cover Years 1–9 this year, with plans to expand to later years. The focus is on inquiry‑based learning, values‑based education, project‑based learning, service and experiential learning, and collaborative community building. Position Scope Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons in Spanish and Catalan, incorporating project‑based and experiential learning. Foster a cross‑curricular approach and ensure inclusion and differentiation. Curriculum Planning and Assessment: Design and implement lessons across Spanish and/or Catalan, using formative and summative assessment to monitor progress. Maintain accurate records of student performance. Character Development: Support students’ character through the school’s guiding principles and Class Connect Programme, instilling values such as honesty, compassion, courage, and drive. Student Well‑being: Prioritize emotional and social well‑being; collaborate with the Student Life Coordinator and School Counsellor. Collaboration and Community Building: Work with colleagues to deliver interdisciplinary programmes, build relationships with families and the community, and participate in professional development. Personal Passions: Bring unique skills and interests to the classroom and wider school community; lead after‑school activities where appropriate. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Degree in Primary or Secondary Education with Spanish/Catalan specialism; preference for a Master’s or PhD. At least 2–3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an inquiry‑based international or British school. Experience with IB PYP, MYP, Cambridge International Curriculum, or IB DP. Strong record in lower secondary teaching, learning, and assessment. Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Catalan (fluent Spanish). Additional language fluency is an asset.
