The company collaborates with international pharmaceutical companies throughout the product development stages, including clinical and preclinical studies, laboratory testing, and preparation for GMP audit inspections by EU health authorities. Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight
- Oversee all daily operations of the plant to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement strategies to increase productivity and meetoutput targets.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage all production activities,including scheduling, staffing, and procurement. Quality Assurance and Control
- Establish and enforce quality control standards.
- Monitor production to ensure products meet specificationsand quality standards.
- Investigate and correct any deviations from quality standards. Budget and Cost Management
- Develop and manage the plant's annual budget.
- Control operational costs and implement cost-saving measures.
- Oversee financial performance, including profit and loss responsibilities. Staff Management and Development
- Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Equipment and Maintenance
- Ensure regular maintenance and proper operation of all equipment.
- Supervise the installation, repair, and upkeep of plant machinery.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure the plant complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and enforce safety guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Process Improvement and Innovation
- Continuously analyze, streamline, and improve production processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency approaches.
- Stay abreast of advancements in technology and industry trends, applying innovations where beneficial. Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Oversee inventory levels and supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage procurement processes.
- Forecast production demands and ensure raw materials availability. Strategic Planning and Goal Setting
- Align plant operations with the company's strategic goals.
- Set performance objectives and monitor progress.
- Develop long-term plans for plant expansion or modification. Stakeholder Relations
- Liaise with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on plant operations and performance.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders. Crisis Management
- Handle and resolve unforeseen problems, emergencies, or disruptions in operations.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Typically a bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial management, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in management or industry-specific areas are a plus.
- Experience: Several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a progressive track record of managerial responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of industry-specific machinery, tools, and technology. Understanding of production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Leadership and People Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams. Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and employee training.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
