Job DescriptionOur client is expanding their hardware engineering team and is looking for a PCB Lead Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced hardware systems supporting high performance processor solutions.In this role, you will lead PCB design activities across the full development cycle, from architecture definition to production. You will define PCB architecture, guide design decisions, and coordinate a team of PCB design and layout engineers.You will collaborate closely with Physical Design and Post Silicon Validation teams to deliver reliable, market ready hardware aligned with industry standards and performance requirements.Location: Barcelona, Spain - HybridResponsibilities:- Lead PCB architecture definition based on input from multiple stakeholders- Define the overall design direction for complex PCB projects- Lead the design and development of complex multi layer PCBs- Guide routing strategy for high pin count components, small ball pitch devices and large packages- Drive signal integrity and power integrity analysis- Ensure compatibility with industry standards, interfaces and form factors- Coordinate closely with Physical Design and Post Silicon Validation teams- Support prototyping, validation, testing and certification activities- Manage design documentation, design revisions and production tracking- Lead and mentor PCB design and layout engineers- Drive improvements in design methods, tools and processesRequirements:- 8 plus years of PCB design and development experience- Strong experience with PCB design tools such as Siemens, Cadence or Altium- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity tools, for example HyperLynx- Strong background in complex multi layer PCB design and routing- Experience with high speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR or LPDDR- Experience routing large ICs, high pin count components and small ball pitch devices- Strong understanding of power distribution for high frequency switching systems- Experience with market form factor standards and COTS compatibility- Experience with documentation, revision control and production tracking- Experience supporting validation, testing and certification is a plus- English level C1- Bachelor, Master or PhD in Electronics, Engineering or related field- Strong leadership, communication and team coordination skillsPreferred / Valued knowledge:Experience working with RISC V architecture is highly valued, especially within processor, SoC, RTL, verification, firmware, software, PCIe, DDR, PCS, DFT, Physical Design or hardware environments.What's in it for you?Our client offers an exciting, challenging role in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
