British Council Spain operates a network of teaching centers throughout the country, delivering English teaching to some 30,000 students every year. In addition to teaching students directly, we operate the British Council’s only school, in Madrid, a sizeable exams operation, we offer support in English language learning around the country, and we run strong programs in arts and education and society. The Madrid Teaching Center offers courses to the general public between 8 am and 10 pm, and there are currently around 100 teachers. We deliver approximately 46,500 class hours per year through onsite classes to students between 5 and 85 years old, plus an additional 9,500 class hours through partner organizations, such as schools and kindergartens, and to corporate clients including government ministries, banks, and higher educational institutions.
