GAPTEK, we are looking for a Senior Occupational Risk Prevention Technician to perform preventive resource functions at a construction site located at the Rota Naval Base. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar positions within industrial, construction, or maintenance environments is required.
Recommended English level: B2.
Educational requirements:
Senior Occupational Risk Prevention Technician (master’s degree in ORP/3 specialties).
Advanced knowledge of ORP regulations (Law 31/1995, RD 1627/1997, ISO 45001).
Additional training in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) is desirable.
Previous experience in quality and environmental management in industrial projects or large‑scale construction projects is desirable.
The Senior PRL Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety measures on site, supervising the correct application of current regulations, and coordinating the necessary actions to ensure a safe working environment within the Naval Base.
Key features:
Continuously supervise compliance with health and safety measures on site.
Identify risks, propose corrective measures, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Conduct daily inspections, issue status reports, and manage incidents related to occupational risk prevention.
Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Witness, accompany, and coordinate activities that require special preventive monitoring.
Participate in safety meetings and train staff on safe working procedures.
Take minutes and investigate incidents and accidents that occur on site.
Coordinate with the Quality and Environment department when necessary.
Attend internal or external audits related to Health and Safety.
Serve as a liaison between the site and the Quality laboratory/engineering assigned to the project.
