We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Deputy to join a large-scale industrial project in South Spain (coastal location).
This is a 12-month assignment with an urgent start, offering the chance to play a key role supporting the Mechanical Lead and ensuring the mechanical scope is executed safely, efficiently, and to high technical standards.
The Role
As Mechanical Deputy , you will act as the right hand of the Mechanical Lead, coordinating mechanical activities on site, supervising contractors, and helping to solve technical issues quickly and pragmatically.
You’ll work closely with construction, HSE, commissioning and project management teams to maintain quality, schedule, and discipline across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Mechanical Lead with planning and supervision of mechanical works
Review drawings, isometrics, P&IDs and technical documentation
Oversee mechanical contractors on site and verify progress
Ensure compliance with technical standards, quality requirements and project procedures
Identify deviations and drive corrective actions (without overcomplicating things)
Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe working practices
Participate in testing, pre-commissioning and punch list activities
Prepare technical reports and progress updates
Profile
Proven experience as Mechanical Deputy / Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer on industrial or large construction projects
Background in process plants, energy, heavy industry, oil & gas, steel or similar environments
Comfortable working in multi-contractor, fast-paced environments
Strong understanding of mechanical standards, QA/QC and commissioning
Professional level of English and Spanish

South Spain – coastal location with good connections
Approx. 12-month duration
Working hours in line with Spanish legislation
