About the JobFor our growing division Automotive in Azuqueca de Henares (Spain) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor.ResponsibilitiesLeading and managing a group of Team/Shift Leaders, including delegation, coaching and motivating the group who in turn will manage Operators.Understanding what motivates people to perform at their best, listening to people and giving open feedback in a positive way to generate commitment and facilitate people development, recognizing hard work and building community to celebrate success.Cascading information relating the Company and Operations to the Team Leaders and ensuring the cascade reaches the People.Ordering raw material.Monitoring accuracy of raw material in production.EHS focus: ensuring the safety of employees and environmental compliance is always considered.Monitoring EHS in production area, ensuring plans are in place and executed by the teams.Scheduling work for operators on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.Monthly reporting (scrap, lead variance).Monitoring 5S and continuous improvement tools in production area and applying problem‑solving techniques as needed to manage issues.Monitoring and reporting of KPIs.Interaction with maintenance department.Managing the production area and related projects to ensure efficiency, clearly conveying objectives, deadlines and expectations.Ensuring that CIP principles are applied on the shop floor (quick reaction, stop at issues, 3 reals…).Participating and assessing CIP meetings led by the team leader and coaching them.Participating in control room meetings to report area performance (scrap, labor efficiency, parts produced) and escalating issues that require specific support.Suggesting improvements and investment opportunities in the production area to streamline operations.Participating in physical inventories.Ensuring the highest quality of the products delivered to continue increasing customer satisfaction.Stopping the production process if necessary to respect health and safety standards and prevent product quality compromise.Defining training and development plans for team members.QualificationsTechnical or advanced engineering degree.Five years or more experience in senior roles within a production plant.Experience in the automotive sector and/or assembly line production is an advantage.Active participation in lean management and Six Sigma projects, sharing best practices in continuous improvement.Proven track record of managing direct/indirect labor, setting goals, objectives and generating strong team spirit.Experience developing teams, including training of teams.Experience optimizing working time and schedules for direct workforce.Experience with lead and raw materials used.Strong focus on quality targets and customer satisfaction.Experience managing customer quality requirements and applying the tools necessary to meet ISO9001 and IATF16949 norms.Knowledge of legislation and application for the working area and EHS.Business fluent English language.Proactive communication with colleagues.IT skills and good knowledge of IT tools.What We OfferA challenging, responsible and varied job in a modern, fast‑growing division within an international corporation.An environment with a high collegial working feel and reasonable scope for action and decision‑making.A real perspective of working in a dynamic environment.Pension plan financed by the employer.Medical insurance on preferential terms.Free canteen.Annual training plan.Equal Employment OpportunityExide is an equal opportunity workplace.
