Our autonomous robots and multi-modal data collection systems are transforming how retailers manage inventory and make data-driven decisions.Obtenga más información sobre este puesto leyendo los detalles a continuación y luego envíe su solicitud para ser considerado.Position OverviewSimbe's Manufacturing Engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for leading and supporting the manufacturing, process development, and quality of our Tally autonomous mobile robots at our Guadalajara facility. This will include working closely with contract manufacturers and suppliers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that design intent is faithfully translated into production output. The Manufacturing Engineer will also play a key role in scaling production for Simbe's next-generation robotics platform and related products. This position will be onsite at our CM partner in Guadalajara.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and BOMs to ensure consistent, high-quality production outputAct as the primary liaison between Simbe's engineering teams and local manufacturing teams, communicating design changes and ensuring alignmentIdentify and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues (component, sub-assembly, and test), driving root cause analysis and corrective actionsLead and support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews to improve yield, reduce cost, and simplify assemblyEstablish and monitor production quality metrics; lead failure analysis investigations and implement sustainable corrective actionsSupport NPI (New Product Introduction) activities, coordinating build readiness, pilot runs, and production ramp for new productsCollaborate with engineering and operations teams on ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and ensure timely implementation on the manufacturing floorManage relationships with suppliers and vendors, including qualification and ongoing performance evaluationQualificationsBS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in robotics, electronics, or electromechanical productsExperience with manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, CNC machining, cast urethane, and additive manufacturingExperience qualifying new vendors or manufacturers, including defining qualification criteria, communicating technical feedback and requirements, managing sampling and FAI processesProficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) for reviewing designs and supporting DFM analysisStrong knowledge of GD&T, 2D drawings, and assembly drawingsExperience with tolerance stack-up analysis, failure analysis, and process capability studiesExperience with Quality processes with assembly, test, and debugCertification Process - UL, FCC, CE, FCCProven ability to drive issues to resolution in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentStrong communication skills in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)Located in Guadalajara AreaPreferred QualificationsExperience working directly with contract manufacturers (CMs) in the Guadalajara / Jalisco manufacturing corridorFamiliarity with PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, or similar)Experience with vendor qualification, management, and negotiation in MexicoKnowledge of PCBA manufacturing and electronics assembly processesFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or kaizen methodologiesKnowledge of Linux/ROS or familiarity with autonomous robotics systemsAt Simbe, you will be at the forefront of retail innovation, working with cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies to transform retail operations.
