Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for aLogistics Specialistin our Norfolk Virginia location who will be a key support in performing warehouse operations.
Job Description

Provides shipment tracking details to the UNITS and PMO Office.
Licensed forklift operator.
Manages DRMO disposition process.
Performs Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Audits.
Prepares large orders for Shipping
Ensures all Modules and Kits returned from the field are labeled to meet company standards and can reproduce labels that are needed to meet the requirements.
Updates the ticketing system with pertinent information for CDRL reporting.
Assist with PMI testing.
Augments the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Specialists for surges or absences.
Knowledgeable and understands DCMA standards for Government property management and storage.
Assist with managing the warehouse operations.
Manages Inventory in DPAS

Qualifications

High School graduate
Working knowledge and understanding of DCMA standards for government property management
Familiar with OSHA standards for safety and hazards
At least 3-years of experience in warehouse operations
Licensed forklift operator

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with military organizations, protocols, procedures, and processes, and working knowledge of addressing issues/concerns using the chain-of-command.
DPAS Experience

Security Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and naval installations.

Travel Requirements

If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements

Repetitive motion, Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Talking, Hearing, and Visual Acuity (depth perception).
Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).
Protective clothing or equipment and face shields or goggles shall be worn when welding, cutting, or working with molten metal.
