You’ll be joining the AI Engineering team to build and scale our initial AIOps capability, ensuring that AI-enabled services for world-class airlines are reliable, cost-effective, and high-performing. This is a "player-coach" role. You will personally drive the technical vision and roadmap for AIOps while leading and mentoring a high-impact team of engineers. You’ll move fast to deliver early value while laying the foundations for a scalable, enterprise-grade approach to AI in production. We’re looking for someone with: ~10+ years of experience in enterprise engineering with a track record of delivering complex production systems. ~ Deeply hands-on expertise: You still love writing code, integrating tools, and leading technical delivery. ~ Production AI/ML experience: Proven ability to monitor, manage, and optimize AI/ML systems (drift detection, observability, incident response). ~ Strong MLOps & SRE background: Expert knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and reliability engineering. ~ Leadership & Influence: Outstanding communication skills to guide engineers and frame technical decisions for senior executives. In this role you’ll: Define the Roadmap: Shape and own the technical vision for AIOps. Build & Scale: Lead the design and rollout of observability, anomaly detection, and automated remediation solutions. Optimize Performance: Own the runtime lifecycle of AI systems, focusing on performance optimization and operational cost control. Partner with Product: Work closely with AI Labs squads in London and Barcelona to embed operational excellence into products from day one. Drive Innovation: Assess emerging GenAI tools and third-party platforms for enterprise readiness and ROI. Location: Hybrid in Barcelona.
