If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Junior HR Officer at the Moco Museum in Barcelona.As our Junior HR Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily HR operations at our Barcelona Museum. You will act as the local liaison for Moco’s Headquarters, helping to ensure smooth HR processes are maintained across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and employee engagement. You’ll be exposed to confidential matters and must be comfortable operating with sensitivity, neutrality, and professionalism at all times. Your work will help ensure consistent, compliant and people‑focused HR practices across the full employee lifecycle. High level of professionalism and discretion will be expected of you. You will regularly handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters and you will strive to apply HR policies fairly and consistently, balancing the needs of employees with the interests and values of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and coordinate end-to-end HR administration for the Barcelona Museum across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, employment contracts, contract amendments, employee changes, and offboarding, in line with Spanish Labour Law.Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers, providing clear and accurate information and escalating complex or sensitive matters to HR Headquarters when required.Prepare, issue, and maintain employment contracts, probation documentation, extensions, and employee letters in compliance with local legislation and internal policies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, GDPR compliance, and timely reporting.Support local recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers, including interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding administration.Support employee relations processes by preparing documentation, tracking cases, and ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant handling of issues.Coordinate HR administration related to absence management, holidays, sickness, and other leave types in line with Spanish regulations and company policies.Liaise with external payroll providers, finance, and advisors (gestoría) to ensure accurate HR data and timely payroll processing.Support the local implementation of HR policies, procedures, and HR initiatives, aligned with guidance from HR Headquarters.Aligned with the Headquarters HR team, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, internal communication and HR projects that support a positive, professional and inclusive workplace culture.Ensure confidentiality, neutrality, and professionalism are maintained at all times when handling sensitive employee information.RequirementsPrevious experience in a junior HR, HR administration, or people operations role.Basic knowledge of Spanish employment legislation and HR administrative processes, or a strong willingness to learn.High level of discretion with a clear understanding of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical HR practice.Ability to balance being approachable and supportive with remaining impartial and policy-driven.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish; working proficiency in English is required.
