Position Overview
We are looking for an IT Senior Controller to join our team at our Terrassa (Barcelona) office. In this role, you will work closely with remote teams in a global environment and collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Controlling, Finance, HR, and Procurement.
Responsibilities
Own the global IT budget, act as a business partner to the CDO, and achieve the IT organization’s financial targets through effective financial governance.
Further develop the existing IT controlling function with a focus on data and processes.
Lead controlling activities with one direct report, overseeing IT project controlling, CAPEX management, cost allocation, month‑end closing activities, recurring reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Prepare analysis for ad‑hoc requests using tools such as Power BI and SAP BW.
Maintain financial management and analysis, purchase order management, and IT cost control and optimization.
Qualifications
Completed degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, business mathematics, or a comparable field.
Previous experience in controlling‑related roles and managing large central organizations (ideally IT); people leadership experience is not mandatory.
Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
Strong ownership mindset, ability to work independently and pragmatically, and enthusiasm for tackling challenges.
Curiosity about new topics, willingness to develop further, and enjoyment of a varied set of tasks.
Additional Information
The role requires availability to travel approximately 20% when required (HQ in Germany/Switzerland).
Valid driving license and own vehicle.
