Are you a passionate culinary professional with expertise in authentic South Asian flavors? A popular Indian restaurant located in Pollença, in the stunning northern region of Mallorca, is currently seeking two skilled cooks specializing in Indian and Nepalese cuisine. If you take pride in preparing traditional dishes, working with authentic spices, and mastering classic cooking methods, this permanent position offers you a great opportunity to build a long-term culinary career on the island.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking a wide range of traditional Indian and Nepalese dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Demonstrating expert proficiency in utilizing tandoori oven techniques to prepare breads, meats, and regional specialties.
Crafting complex curry sauces, marinades, and signature stews using traditional blend techniques.
Managing raw materials, ensuring proper inventory storage, and handling specific spices to maintain authentic flavor profiles.
Upholding strict quality standards, food safety guidelines, and kitchen hygiene procedures at all times.
Required Qualifications
At least 3 years (36 months) of documented professional working experience as a cook.
Deep practical knowledge of Indian and Nepalese gastronomy and tandoori cooking methods.
Solid knowledge of spice selection, balance, and raw ingredient preservation.
High standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts across the week, including weekends and evenings.
Working Conditions and Compensation
A full-time, permanent contract (Contrato Indefinido).
Gross annual salary of €27,135.05 in accordance with the CAIB Hospitality Sector Collective Agreement.
Working schedule operating Monday through Sunday with shifts from 12:00 to 20:00 or 16:00 to 00:00.
Two consecutive rotating days off per week to ensure rest and balance.
