At Faes Farma, where we unite passion, science and innovation to transform people's health, we are looking to incorporate a Head of Preclinical Sciences.We are looking for an experienced scientific leader to join our Discovery Research team and play a key role in shaping the future of our R&D pipeline.Reporting directly to the Head of Discovery Research, you will lead the integration of preclinical biology, pharmacology and ADMET, driving the progression of innovative drug candidates from target validation through candidate nomination. This is a strategic leadership position that combines scientific excellence with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration.What you will doLead the integration of target biology, disease mechanism characterization, pharmacology, ADMET, and PK/PD into a unified preclinical strategy.Drive data-based decisions to advance compounds through the discovery pipeline.Identify the most predictive in vitro models, establish biomarkers, and ensure strong translation from preclinical research to clinical development.Contribute to Target Product Profile (TPP) development and clinical trial strategy.Champion modern scientific data management practices, leveraging ELN, and advanced computational tools to improve decision-making.Build, develop and inspire a high-performing multidisciplinary team across biology, pharmacology and ADMET.Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, accountability and continuous development.Collaborate closely with Medicinal Chemistry, Translational Research, Clinical Development, and Scouting teams.Manage relationships with CROs and academic collaborators, ensuring scientific quality and operational excellence.Present scientific recommendations and preclinical data packages to senior leadership and key stakeholders.What we are looking forPhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline (postdoctoral experience is a plus).More than 10 years of experience in preclinical drug discovery.At least 3–5 years leading scientific teams in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Strong scientific expertise across biology, pharmacology, ADMET and PK/PD.Solid understanding of the drug discovery and early development process through IND/Phase I.Experience with scientific data management platforms and software such as Phoenix WinNonlin, GraphPad or equivalent.Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence scientific and business decisions through data-driven insights.Excellent English communication skills.Why join Faes Farma?At Faes Farma, you will become part of an international company committed to improving people's health through science and innovation.
