Role: Head of Leather RTW Product Development Reports to: Head of RTW PD Location: Barcelona Start date: June 2026 End date: March 2027 Maternity cover, CDD ROLE The Head of Leather RTW Development leads the technical development and industrial feasibility of Men’s and Women’s Leather Ready-to-Wear collections. The role ensures that the creative vision is translated into technically viable, high-quality garments aligned with Loewe’s standards of craftsmanship, cost targets and production constraints. Acting as a key interface between Design, Merchandising, Business teams and international suppliers, the position oversees the full development process from concept to production readiness while coordinating cross-functional teams across Paris, Barcelona and key European manufacturing partners. KEY RESPONSABILITIES Collection Development Lead the development of Men’s and Women’s Leather RTW collections from sketch to final sample validation. Coordinate prototypes and samples fittings with the Pd’s and Design team. Ensure garments meet technical feasibility, quality standards and production requirements. Lead technical discussions and decision-making during fittings and development stages. Collaborate with patternmakers and technical teams to optimize construction and garment development. Leather & Material Development Support the research and development of new leather qualities, materials and trims. Participate in leather selection alongside the Leather Research Manager, Design and Merchandising to ensure alignment between creative vision, technical feasibility and product strategy. Manage material sourcing for development and ensure alignment with product and cost targets. Cost & Product Strategy Conduct cost analysis and monitor development budgets. Collaborate with Merchandising to align product development with market positioning and pricing strategy. Assess the economic impact of material and technical decisions on the collection. Industrialization & Production Follow-up Evaluate industrial feasibility and optimize designs for production. Work closely with production technicians to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges. Ensure smooth transition from development to production. Supplier Management Manage relationships with international garment suppliers. Lead technical discussions with manufacturers to establish timelines, production conditions and quality standards. Visit suppliers to supervise development progress, resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with Loewe specifications. Ensure garments meet Loewe’s standards of craftsmanship and quality. Team & Cross-functional Coordination Coordinate development activities between Paris, Barcelona and external suppliers. Lead and support the leather development team, ensuring alignment with collection calendars and development milestones. Technical Documentation Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation including BOMs and development tracking in PLM. Maintain clear product information to support cost calculation, industrialization and production.
