About Click&Boat
Click&Boat is a rental platform product of Boats Group, the fastest-growing digital business in the recreational boating space. We are a talented team of techies, creatives, marketers, closers and customer advocates who spend each day pushing the boundaries of technology to make buying, selling & renting boats easy.
Click&Boat is the European leader in boat rentals, with over €170M in annual GMV and a community of 2.4M+ registered users across 150+ countries worldwide. Our marketplace makes boating accessible around the globe, from a day trip to a week-long adventure, while enabling private and professional boat owners to generate additional income through rentals.
Performance marketing and SEO have been central to our growth. We are now investing in the next source of advantage: making Click&Boat the brand travellers know, trust and actively seek out before they reach their destination.
A large share of boat rental still happens offline, locally and at the last minute. Our opportunity is to bring more of that demand online and encourage travellers to discover, plan and book their boating experience earlier. A fresh rebranding was performed in 2025, and the next challenge is now to build familiarity, trust and category authority at greater scale - particularly for families, skippered rentals, multi-day experiences and other higher-consideration occasions.
To fuel this next phase of growth, we're hiring a Head of Brand & Content to lead our brand strategy and build Click&Boat into the most trusted and top-of-mind digital destination for boat rental, based in our Barcelona office.
The role
We're looking for a Head of Brand & Content to join our crew in Barcelona and lead a creative, highly motivated brand function with a solid leadership foundation. While driven by commercial impact, this is a strategic 360° brand position - not an operational SEO or pure content role. It combines long-term brand strategy, 360° activations (field/IRL, PR, social, brand partnerships) and multi-channel orchestration to drive top-of-mind awareness and generate measurable unpaid demand.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Click&Boat, you will lead a team of 7 (4 permanent positions and 3 interns/apprentices) covering Digital Campaigns, Partnerships, Social Media, Influence, PR, and Content.
As a long-term strategic leader, your role is to guide, frame, and validate the overall brand roadmap, while empowering your team of specialists to own day-to-day execution. You will manage a meaningful annual budget across campaigns, production, selective media, PR, partnerships, research and specialist support, and work in close, day-to-day collaboration with SEO, Product, Operations and Performance Marketing to accelerate Click&Boat's unpaid growth across multiple geographies.
What floats your boat
Continuously build Click&Boat's top-of-mind awareness and brand preference to establish the company as the undisputed, go-to destination for boat rentals across target markets, so that brand fame naturally converts into a top-of-mind purchasing reflex for any boating occasion.
Make Click&Boat synonymous with an easy, flexible and trusted way to rent a boat online, and broaden how customers think about the brand beyond casual day rentals, including family, skippered, multi-day and higher‑value experiences.
Set the creative vision for our annual flagship initiatives (e.g., Summer Campaign) and orchestrate high-impact 360° activations across digital, field/IRL, PR, and brand partnerships to grow brand awareness and consideration.
Define the creative framework for content and ensure it resonates across our channels, in partnership with Product, SEO, and CRM, who lead execution and leverage reviews, customer stories, and owner expertise to build category trust.
Ensure content strategy (social media, blog/SEO) stays aligned with the overall brand strategy, in partnership with the respective channel owners.
Earn relevant attention and third‑party validation, prioritising initiatives that strengthen reputation, direct demand or organic authority.
Partner with the SEO team on editorial priorities and authority‑building, while SEO retains ownership of the organic channel, technical strategy and performance.
Experiment with emerging discovery behaviours, including how Click&Boat is represented and recommended by AI assistants and answer engines, with an approach that is globally coherent and locally effective across priority traveller markets.
Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of 7, setting clear priorities and a culture of curiosity, accountability and experimentation, while overseeing external agencies, production partners, creators and technology providers.
Own Click&Boat's tone of voice and brand guidelines, helping Product and Operations apply it consistently across renter and owner communications.
Represent the customer and the brand in senior commercial and product discussions, without losing sight of delivery constraints and return on investment.
What success looks like
In your first 12 months, you will have:
Established clear market baselines for trust, mental availability, branded demand and unpaid bookings.
Aligned content, social, PR and partnerships behind a single strategy and prioritised roadmap.
Developed and activated a distinctive, trust‑building creative platform across priority markets.
Launched measurable initiatives that encourage travellers to discover and book before arriving at their destination.
Created a credible evidence base showing which brand and content investments can be scaled.
What you bring aboard
8+ years of experience across consumer brand, content or integrated marketing, ideally in a digital marketplace, travel, e-commerce or consumer technology business.
A track record of building or scaling a consumer brand across multiple geographies.
Experience turning brand strategy into a distinctive creative platform, campaigns and always‑on content - not simply managing isolated assets.
Evidence that your work influenced customer acquisition, direct demand, conversion, market share or another meaningful commercial outcome.
Strong creative judgement combined with analytical discipline and confident budget prioritisation.
Experience leading a lean, multidisciplinary team and managing agencies or specialist partners.
Enough understanding of SEO, digital distribution and AI‑assisted discovery to collaborate credibly with specialists, without needing to be a technical SEO practitioner.
The ability to influence Product and Operations through customer evidence, clear business cases and pragmatic prioritisation.
Full proficiency in English is required.
Bonus points (great to have, never a dealbreaker)
Experience working in the US market.
Fluent in French, Spanish or German.
Experience in travel, marketplaces, e-commerce or another low‑frequency, high‑consideration category.
Experience with brand lift, incrementality testing, marketing‑mix analysis or other approaches to measuring brand investment.
Experience launching video, creator, community or AI‑discovery programmes.
How we work
This role reports directly to the General Manager so that Brand has the access and organisational weight to influence Click&Boat's growth agenda. That influence is earned through evidence, prioritisation and delivery. Product owns its roadmap, SEO owns the organic channel, and Operations owns the customer and owner processes; you will help these teams express one coherent, trusted Click&Boat brand.
