Overview
As a Functional Test Engineer, you will validate products against architectural specs and functional requirements, creating validation environments and executing system-level test plans. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to isolate defects, validate fixes, and ensure robust, high-quality products. Your work will span hardware and software domains, driving root-cause analysis and delivering repeatable validation results. You will contribute to automation, tooling, and CI flows to improve efficiency and reliability. ResponsabilidadesSystem Validation & Debug: validate complex system-level scenarios including performance, power, and functional coverageRoot Cause Analysis: own failure analysis from symptoms to resolution across cross-domain interactionsAutomation & Tooling: develop and optimize validation tools, scripts, and infrastructure to boost efficiencyHardware & Software Debug: use lab equipment and software debuggers to diagnose issuesCollaboration: work with Hardware/ASIC Design, Firmware, Architecture, and Software teams to verify fixesDocumentation & Reporting: maintain bug tracking and test coverage records using Jira, Git, or similar systems
Requisitos principales10+ years in system validation, functional testing, ASIC/SoC debug, or related rolesStrong understanding of computer architecture, memory subsystems (DDR, PCIe), and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB)Scripting and automation in Python, LabView, or Ladder LogicC/C++ knowledge for firmware or driver debuggingExperience with version control and bug tracking tools (Git, Jira, Bugzilla)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHands-on ASIC or SoC bring-up and post-silicon validationExposure to CI pipelines and automated validation frameworksExperience in highly cross-functional, global engineering teamsAbility to create repeatable debug playbooks and clear documentationstrong communicationanalytical mindsetdetail-orientedvalidation and debugging of system-level scenarioslab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, JTAG, PLC, DAC cards)software debuggers (GDB, logging, tracing tools)
