Fully-funded PhD 6G for Critical Cyber-Physical Systems A fully funded PhD position is available at the Tecnun School of Engineering, University of Navarra, San Sebastián, Spain. The selected candidate will join the Wireless Instrument Group (WIN) at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong academic background to contribute to the development of 6G technologies for Critical Cyber-Physical Systems (CCPS), such as smart grid and industrial robotics. The successful candidate will investigate advanced 6G communication and computing orchestration schemes to meet the end-to-end Quality-of-Service requirements in real‑world CCPS applications. The Key Responsibilities Include Design integrated 6G communication and computing orchestration schemes for CCPS. Develop experimental testbeds for performance evaluation and validation. Contribute to ongoing EU‑ and nationally funded research projects, participating in experimental activities, dissemination, and joint publications. Opportunities Hands‑on training in developing and running experimental testbeds Training in advanced research methodologies in 6G communication & computing Guidance in publishing and presenting in top‑tiered journals and conferences Qualification Requirements An MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related fields. Language: English (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) Proficiency in programming and Linux systems. Strong background in telecommunications, networking, and/or computing. Experiences in building wireless systems or experimental testbeds. Familiarity with 5G standards and/or open‑source projects, e.g. OpenAirInterface and srsRAN, is preferred.
