The role has regular interaction with senior leadership and requires good verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and comfort with ambiguity, along with a strong performance bar. A proven track record for hiring, developing and retaining top talent is expected. Responsibilities Design and implement mechanisms to improve Operational Excellence Culture Train and mentor Operations teams on Lean and Six Sigma projects Manage the documentation and status of all YB/Lean projects Provide periodic project updates, including major successes/challenges, to senior management Manage and continually improve the idea management (ideation to implementation) process Deliver financial savings through projects Conduct data analysis, value stream mappings (VSMs) and FMEAs to identify improvement opportunities as needed Ability to handle Accounts Payable process study and identify gaps Basic Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification 6+ years of program/project management and cross-functional experience working with tech and non-tech teams, including defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or business (preferably quantitative) or equivalent combination of education and experience Good process, manufacturing, or engineering background with ability to understand workflow and throughput; finance background is a plus Articulate and able to communicate with employees at all levels across the organization, through white papers and verbal communication Demonstrated change management experience including working with sponsors to address barriers to a team’s success Courageous and willing to stand up for ideas within appropriate guidelines Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to drive root cause analysis Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience in data analytics Preferred Qualifications Articulate and able to communicate with employees at all levels across the organization, from front-line to executives, through white papers and verbal communication Courageous and willing to stand up for ideas within appropriate guidelines Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to drive fact-based decisions and root cause analysis Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
