ph3Position Overview /h3 pShaw Industries is looking for an Extrusion Operator to operate Model 95/8 equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications, ensuring a quality yarn is produced. /p h3Job Title /h3 pExtrusion Operator II /p h3Work Schedule /h3 ul li8pm-8am rotating shifts /li li8am-8pm rotating shift /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDoffs and inspects all finished packages for defects, aspirating packages as required to insure a quality product. /li liApplies a properly stamped label to each finished package and places on U-buggy/rail. /li liMonitors equipment processing variables, finish applicators, etc., insuring a quality product is being produced, reporting any out of specification condition to supervision. /li liRepairs breaks quickly and accurately using established procedures making any necessary repairs to the finished packages to ensure a quality product. Relieves adjacent operator performing only run and stop priority work during fill in time. /li liAssists Technician and Blender Operator in making product/color changes based on shift schedule. /li liMonitors product/lot production and notifies Blender Operator of impending lot completion and color change. /li liCleans jets and chambers as needed. Compares on hand labels to the shift schedule to insure that the lot, color, and denier agree. Stamps labels with operator stamp to identify operator of record. Discards all old labels. /li liPulls color samples as requested for lab testing. /li liKeeps an adequate supply of numbered tubes at each position. /li liRetrieves boxes of new tubes from the staging area as needed. Breaks down and disposes of empty tube boxes. /li liEmpties waste barrels at the end of shift and places near the scales for the Material Handler to weigh. /li liPlaces non-conforming packages on the cordage U-buggy. /li liMops floor between lines at least once per shift.
