HSE Lead – Industrial Project (South Spain)

We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Lead to join a large-scale industrial green project in South Spain (coastal location) .

This is a 12-month project with an urgent start in January , offering the opportunity to take real ownership of Health, Safety & Environmental performance on a complex industrial site.

The Role

As HSE Lead, you will be the main HSE authority on site , working closely with construction, contractors and project management teams to ensure the highest HSE standards throughout execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the site HSE strategy in line with Spanish and EU regulations
• Act as the primary HSE point of contact for contractors and site management
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with HSE plans, risk assessments and method statements
• Investigate incidents and near misses, driving corrective actions
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across the project

Profile

• Proven experience as HSE Lead / Senior HSE on industrial or construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and EU standards
• Background in heavy industry, process plants, energy or large construction projects
• Comfortable working in multi-contractor environments
• Fluent or professional level of Spanish and English
• EU right to work required

• South Spain – coastal area (good connections)
• Approx. 12-month duration
