As a DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer, you will provide technical leadership and operational support for a large, multi-subsystem DB2 environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure availability, performance, security, and DR readiness across regions. This role offers impact through strategic upgrades, performance optimization, and resilient database operations. You will work in a complex enterprise setting, driving automation and reliability in support of business-critical applications.Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environmentsSupport a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystemsPlan and execute DB2 version upgrades, migrations, and maintenanceProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2-based applicationsEnsure stability, integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 databasesSupport and manage Distributed Data Facility (DDF) and distributed DB2 connectivityMaintain and optimize OLTP environments using CICS and DB2Monitor performance and implement tuning recommendationsPerform capacity planning and growth forecastingDevelop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and DR proceduresEnsure storage management, archiving, and retention processesImplement and manage database security controls and access governanceTroubleshoot and resolve complex database and infrastructure issuesCollaborate with application teams on design, deployment, and problem resolutionEnsure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirementsMaintain technical documentation, operational standards, and support proceduresEnsure database and monitoring solutions are kept on supported versionsTypically 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with strong DB2 for z/OS administrationExperience supporting large-scale DB2 environments with multiple subsystemsDB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshootingExperience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other mission-critical environments preferredHands-on experience with high-volume OLTP using CICS and DB2DB2 for z/OS (must have), z/OS, SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, RACFExperience installing/upgrading DB2 releases and providing Level 2/3 supportUnderstanding of Distributed DB2 Connectivity (DDF)Expertise in: DB2 Performance Monitoring & Tuning, Capacity Planning, Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Database Security AdministrationStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills; excellent writtenand verbal communicationAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in productionstrong analytical and troubleshootingz/OSSMP/EDB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer - The Nippon Telegraph And Telephone Corporation (NTT) barcelona, catalunya, es#J-18808-Ljbffr
