An opportunity for a Tech Lead Web Development (m/f) in the Spares, MRO & Training domain at Airbus Helicopters, Albacete.

Role Summary
With 3 to 5 years of experience, the selected candidate will join the AH Information Management Directorate to manage the code delivery of Digital projects related to the Spares, MRO & Training domain. You will be accountable for the security, quality and stability of our application’s code and act as a bridge between project managers, managed service providers and users.
Main web applications:
Customer‑facing ordering of Spares or repair of parts
Applications supporting the training of pilots or technicians
Applications open to the maintenance centre for blade repair
Your Challenges
As a Web Development Tech Lead you will define technical strategies, guide the team, and ensure high‑quality web solutions. You will collaborate closely with product owners and digital colleagues, mentor developers, and oversee technical aspects from conception to production deployment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and estimate costs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the outsourced web development team.
Design modern web architectures that ensure scalability, performance, and security.
Guarantee code quality, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and manage technical debt.
Identify pain points and propose improvements in architecture, tools, security or workflows.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage production incidents and hotfixes.
Lead technical exploration phases, evaluate new technologies, and build proofs of concept.
Define and evolve the technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
Drive and secure the end‑to‑end release process.
Skills
Required Technical Expertise
Modern Tech Stack:
Front‑end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular (React is a plus).
Back‑end: Java, Spring / Spring Boot (Python, Node.js/NestJS are bonuses).
Architecture & System Design: Design robust, scalable, maintainable systems; understand API concepts, microservices, performance and security (OWASP, authentication).
Code Quality & Standards: Implement best practices, code splitting, optimization, automated testing, Clean Architecture, TDD, Domain‑Driven Design.
Databases: Relational databases (SQL) and design; NoSQL/MongoDB is a bonus.
Advanced Git Workflow: Strict versioning strategy and advanced Git mastery.
DevOps & Cloud Culture: Understand CI/CD and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes); OpenShift is a bonus.
Bonus Technical Expertise
Enterprise E‑Commerce & SAP Ecosystem – experience with SAP Hybris/Commerce Cloud, Mirakl Marketplace, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC6, ABAP.
Integration, Middleware & Event‑Driven Architecture – experience with Mulesoft, TIBCO ESB, Solace.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Skills
Agile Methodology – deep understanding of Scrum, SAFe a bonus.
Workflow Management – mastery of Jira, task breakdown.
Crisis & Hotfix Management – efficient production incident resolution.
Quality Assurance – proficiency in unit, functional and integration testing.
Continuous Improvement – post‑mortem lessons and corrective processes.
