Collections Data Scientist at MCI, a technology-enabled business services company in the USA with a global footprint.The role involves developing and designing reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions to support internal teams and enhance everyday business processes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop technology-enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process.Proactively identify potential impact on business strategy and recommend solutions.Document existing processes, organizational structures, architectures, and external systems.Consult on appropriate tools to prepare deliverables; participate in developing tools and methodologies and adapt them to the organization.Manage peer-to-peer relationships with colleagues, vendors and external contractors, including offshore functions.Assist with development and execution of cut-over plans for simple processes.Assist in post-implementation support, resolve issues and raise defects to appropriate level.Execute transition plan for area of responsibility to the appropriate resource for each phase of the project or initiative.Transition knowledge sharing and transfer ownership to other resources or teams for key deliverables and business processes across a module.QualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical or business discipline.Generally, a minimum of 4 years of related experience.In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.Knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts.Proficiency in data engineering languages and tools.Understanding of layered solutions and designs; knowledge of shared data engineering concepts and product features, security-minded.Highly developed negotiation, consensus building and influencing skills; facilitation and adaptability to respond to change quickly.Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.Conditions of EmploymentMust be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.Must be willing to submit to up to a Level II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. Duties are largely sedentary, requiring sitting/standing for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
