I am working with a leading med‑tech company focused on innovative cardiovascular technologies designed to improve patient outcomes during interventional procedures.
The company is entering a pivotal stage of clinical development, running large‑scale European and US clinical trials in preparation for future commercial launch.
Role Overview
We are seeking Clinical Training Specialists / Senior Clinical Training Specialists to support key interventional cardiology sites across Spain, with occasional support required in other European countries.
This is a highly hands‑on role, responsible for delivering clinical training, proctoring live cath lab cases, supporting clinical trial execution, and developing long‑term relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders. Out‑of‑hours support (on‑site and remote) will be required at times.
This position is well suited to candidates with a background in cardiac catheter laboratories, interventional cardiology, or medical device clinical trial support.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Education
Train clinical teams to ensure safe, compliant, and effective use of the technology
Support sites from initial onboarding through to independent operation
Identify and implement remedial or refresher training as required (e.g. staff turnover)
Provide remote clinical support to maximise trial recruitment
Deliver ongoing education on cardiovascular topics, scientific updates, and clinical trial progress
Support the selection and development of future centres of excellence beyond the clinical trial phase
Proctoring & Case Support
Attend and support initial clinical cases in the cath lab
Proctor sites until independence is achieved in line with protocol requirements
Provide remote support to Spanish and other European sites when required
Monitor compliance with trained procedures and capture any protocol deviations
Support site workflow setup to ensure high‑quality imaging and data capture
Maintain accurate proctoring, training, and case documentation
Regulatory & Trial Support
Support internal and external audits and site inspections
Ensure accurate records are maintained for regulatory compliance
Execute clinical trial activities within the required regulatory frameworks
Customer & KOL Engagement
Maintain regular contact with Principal Investigators and site teams
Build relationships with established and emerging Key Opinion Leaders
Grow a network of clinical advocates ahead of commercial launch
Engage with national societies and key stakeholders
Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring a patient‑centric approach
Personal Development
Maintain continual learning via journals, congresses, and professional education
Stay up to date on technological advances and competitor activity
Build a strong understanding of healthcare system dynamics and market adoption
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a life science or healthcare discipline (Master's preferred)
Experience as a Clinical Specialist, Clinical Trial Specialist, Field Technical Specialist, or similar
Alternatively, significant experience working within a cardiac cath lab environment
Proven experience in clinical training, proctoring, or education
Fluent Spanish and strong English (able to deliver training in English)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a high‑travel environment
Willingness to travel 60‑80% (Spain and occasional international travel)
