✛ This role is being managed exclusively by HYTE on a retained basis ✛ Direct applications and confidential enquires are welcomed. HYTE is retained by a fast-growing, venture-backed advanced engineering company to appoint a Battery Manufacturing Lead into a key technical execution role. This position is highly hands‑on and focused on taking battery pack and energy storage systems from early‑stage development through prototyping, pilot builds, and industrialisation. The role sits at the intersection of battery development, prototyping, and manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on execution, pace, and design‑for‑manufacture in a low‑volume, high‑complexity environment. The role is well suited to someone who has worked in battery pack development or prototyping, enjoys being close to the hardware, and wants to play a critical role in turning engineering concepts into manufacturable reality. This is not a large‑scale automotive serial production role. Lead battery pack manufacturing and industrialisation activities from prototype through to scalable, low‑volume production Own design‑for‑manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA) considerations across battery packs and energy storage systems Drive hands‑on prototyping, build, test, iteration, and refinement cycles Work closely with battery, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure designs are robust, buildable, and executable Define and implement pragmatic manufacturing and assembly processes suitable for a resource‑conscious, fast‑growing environment Support the transition from prototype builds to more mature manufacturing approaches as the programme evolves Interface with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders on manufacturing‑related topics Strong background in battery pack development, battery systems, or energy storage, with exposure to prototyping and build activities Experience operating between R&D and manufacturing, rather than purely in large‑scale serial production Hands‑on engineer with a strong bias toward execution, problem‑solving, and getting things built Comfortable working in early‑stage or scale‑up environments with evolving processes and priorities Able to take ownership and make practical decisions in ambiguous situations Experience in aviation, aerospace, or other high‑reliability hardware environments is beneficial but not essential Open to working on‑site in Spain; short‑term hybrid possible, but long‑term presence is expected ✛ Take your career to new HYTEs ✛ Opportunity to take ownership of a critical battery manufacturing and prototyping function High visibility and influence within a growing, technically driven organisation Clear scope to evolve into broader technical or people leadership as the programme scales #J-18808-Ljbffr
