Associate – Venture Capital | Madrid | Immediate Start If you're trying to break into venture capital and have a genuine interest in defense and security technology, this is a unique opportunity. You'd be joining a small, early-stage firm at the ground floor, working directly with the Managing Partner across all aspects of the fund, and building VC experience right away. What We Do The firm invests in dual-use and defense technology companies operating across NATO member states, Ukraine, and allies. The portfolio spans autonomous systems, counter-drone, ISR, command and control software, battlefield logistics, and related areas. It's a hot space to be in right now, and we think we're approaching it in a more interesting way than most. Venture capital focuses on new tech and new business models; ironically though, the VC industry has hardly changed its own business model since the 1970s. We think like a startup and are focused on building a product that the market wants. Get in touch to learn more. The Role The position covers the full range of what a small fund does, including: - Fund operations and LP relations - Deal flow and sourcing - Investment analysis and initial vetting of potential portfolio companies - Supporting deal execution and closing - Working with portfolio companies post-investment It's a lot, but that's also the point. You'll learn more about how venture capital actually works than you would in a more compartmentalized role at a larger firm. What We're Looking For - MBA (completed or in progress) or equivalent background - Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment - A real interest in defense and national security technology — this is what we do all day, so it matters - The kind of self-direction that makes close management unnecessary - English fluency - Madrid location — some in-person meetings in Barrio Salamanca come with the job, but otherwise the role is flexible on hours and location Compensation and Growth €3,000/month to start. We offer direct mentorship, meaningful work from day one, and a clear path to more responsibility, higher compensation, and potential carry participation as you demonstrate what you can do. This is a small team, so strong performance gets noticed and rewarded quickly. If this sounds like a potential fit, send your CV and a short note on why to — no formal cover letter needed.
