This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Cook at DoubleTree by Hilton A Coruña. The Assistant Cook will assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest quality and safety standards. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to proper food handling procedures, and following health and safety guidelines. Additionally, the Assistant Cook will support the head chef and kitchen team with food inventory management, portion control, plating, and ensuring timely service.QualificationsProficiency in food preparation, meal presentation, and basic cooking techniquesKnowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen cleanlinessSkills in teamwork, communication, and collaboration within a dynamic kitchen environmentAbility to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressurePrior experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role is preferredUnderstanding of recipe execution and adherence to portion controlA passion for culinary arts and hospitality service
