Urbio Led – Leading Smart Street Lighting Company in Eastern Europe Location: Commercial Reports To: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Compensation: Competitive base salary + uncapped performance-based commission. Urbio URBIO is a leading European manufacturer of smart street lighting solutions, with over 3,000 successful projects delivered across Romania, Moldova, Serbia, and Montenegro. We specialize in highly certified, energy-efficient smart luminaires natively integrated with our ecosystem of solutions, including: An AI-powered smart city platform for asset and lighting management; A wide range of communication protocols, including PLC, LoRa, and GSM. As we scale our presence, we're seeking entrepreneurial Area Sales Managers to drive growth in new markets. Role Overview The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for building Urbio's presence in assigned territories by generating new business opportunities and developing relationships with municipalities, public authorities, distributors, and infrastructure partners. The successful candidate will spend most of their time in the field, meeting prospects and developing long-term commercial opportunities across their region. What You'll Be Selling Urbio Led's connected LED street lighting systems, including luminaires, sensors, remote monitoring and control software, and integrations with our ecosystem of solutions. You'll be positioning both the hardware and the software/energy-savings value proposition to public and private stakeholders and acting as their main point of contact throughout the whole process. A luxury company car and travel allowance for field-based work. Key Responsibilities Develop new markets and build sales pipelines from the ground up. Identify and acquire new customers through cold outreach, networking, and most importantly, field sales. Visit municipalities, city councils, public institutions, contractors, and distributors across the assigned region. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing. Identify and qualify public tenders, working closely with the technical/pre-sales team on proposals. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using the company CRM. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Enterprise B2B/B2G sales experience with a proven track record of growing sales from zero and developing new markets, ideally within long sales-cycle environments (12–24 months). Direct experience selling to municipalities, public authorities, or through public procurement/tenders. Experience in street lighting, energy, Smart City, infrastructure, or electrical equipment industries. Comfortable with intensive field sales and frequent regional travel. Fluent English required; fluency in the local language of the assigned territory is mandatory, given the relationship-driven nature of public-sector sales. Support You'll Have You won't be selling alone: a pre-sales and a technical team who supports proposal development and technical qualification, and a delivery/implementation team takes over the heavy lifting after contract signature, so you can focus mainly on new business. Our marketing department will support you with lead generation campaigns, sales collateral (Written & Video) and premium participation to relevant industry events and conferences.
