Overview
In this role you will own the monthly close, statutory accounting, and tax compliance for multiple entities within EF’s international team. You’ll collaborate with finance operations, the BPO provider, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely financials. You will drive process improvements and standardization across accounting outputs. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position with opportunities to shape EF’s global finance function and scale its control environment.

ResponsabilidadesOwn day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for several companiesEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of trial balances, reconciliations, and monthly and year-end closeSupport VAT, CIT, and statutory filings in collaboration with external advisorsAct as liaison to the BPO provider for R2R, O2C, and P2P performancePrepare audit materials and internal reports ensuring compliance with internal controlsContribute to standardization, automation, and system rolloutsWork cross-functionally with regional, local, and centralized teamsCollaborate with the Regional Finance Leadership and Regional Operations Team
Requisitos principalesMinimum 5 years of finance or accounting experienceDegree in Business Administration, Accounting, or FinanceStrong technical understanding of accounting principles and controlsSolid understanding of Spanish GAAP, VAT, and statutory requirementsSolid understanding of GAAP, VAT, and statutory requirements in other EU countries (advantage)Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment with evolving processesProactive, detail-oriented, and capable of ownership in a hands-on roleFluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)Proficiency in Catalan or other European languages (advantage)Experience in a matrix organization and/or shared service environmentproactivedetail-orientedownership mindsetSpanish GAAP and VAT knowledgeGAAP knowledge (international)VAT compliance
